Commodity Forwarders is looking for a full time Airfreight Customer Service Representative to fill a position within our Operations department. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate between $21 – $25/hr. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Seattle branch.

Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: Monday – Friday 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM; Months of June – August hours change to 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM

Your Role:

• Manage customer interaction and documentation to ensure successful movement of cargo.
• Quote, book, and track domestic and international cargo shipments.
• Ability to assign and delegate tasks to maximize department efficiency and employee productivity.
• Work with the warehouse and other departments to efficiently handle shipments.
• Assist the sales effort to resolve issues, identify opportunities, and achieve goals for customer retention.
• Self-starter, organized, good time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in logistics. Air freight and export experience is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Working environment is fast paced and a successful candidate must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing time sensitive situations.
• Eligible to pass TSA background check
• Basic Computer Skills including e-mail, web browsing, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Strong grasp of geography to determine best freight forwarding routes.
• Customer service and vendor relations skills over the phone and in person.
