Commodity Forwarders is looking for a Full Time Customer Service Agent to fill a position within our operations department. This is a non-exempt position and an excellent opportunity to join our Anchorage Branch.

Compensation:

• Hourly pay $20 – $24 depending on experience

Location: Anchorage, AK

Schedule: Schedule to be discussed during the interview

Your Role:

• Answering multiple phone lines
• Physically checking customers in
• Booking domestic and export airfreight shipments
• Data entry
• Ensure timely movement of cargo from origin to destination
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and management on phone calls, emails, and in person
• Basic computer skills including e-mail, web browsing, outlook, excel and word.
• Dependability

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-2 years of Customer Service Experience (Freight Forwarding Experience is a Plus)
• Basic Computer Skills ( e-mail, web browsing, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently handling various responsibilities with competing priorities.
• Excellent customer service abilities
• Logistics or Transportation experience is preferred
• Able to quickly get between dock office and operations many times per hour
