Commodity Forwarders is looking for a Full Time Freight Customer Service to fill a position within our Logistics department. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly range between $22 – $27/hr. This is an excellent opportunity to join our San Francisco Branch.

Your Role:

• Ensure successful movement of cargo
• Prioritize the workflow for cargo movements to insure customer and vendor satisfaction
• Insure the timely movement of cargo from origin to destination to fulfill customer’s instructions and insure procedures for taking bookings are followed at all times
• Coordinate with customs brokers to obtain release documents in a timely manner to maximize productivity of the warehouse
• Process claim paperwork timely and accurately with carriers
• Verify on-boards and forward necessary correspondence to customers
• Check vendors and customers in at dock office in a professional manner
• Complete responsibilities for all accounting related functions to achieve goals
•  Process all billing within necessary period and billing is accurate

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the US and pass TSA background check
• Must be able to read, write and clearly communicate with poise and confidence in English over the phone and in person with customers, vendors and staff
• Bi-lingual or Multi-lingual skills (preferred)
