Commodity Forwarders is looking for a full time Import Customer Service Representative to fill a position within our Operations department. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate between $19.75 – $23.00/hr. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Seattle branch.

Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday 7 am – 3:30 pm

Your Role:

• Promote a customer friendly atmosphere
• Pro-actively track and trace freight movement and keep our customers updated.
• Product distribution of customers orders
• Quote and book trucking requests per customer needs
• Work directly with warehouse and drivers to ensure our customers’ needs are followed through
• Action billing tasks within the company guidelines.
• Be responsive to other department and stations requests
• Make sure all work adhere to the company’s policy standards
• Perform any other related duties

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the LIS and pass TSA background check
• 1 year of customer service experience in logistics (preferred).
• Basic Computer Skills including e-mail, web browsing, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Strong grasp of geography to determine best freight forwarding routes.
• Customer service and vendor relations skills over the phone and in person.
