Commodity Forwarders is looking for a full time Customer Service Agent to fill a position within our Operations department. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate between $17.28 – $20/hr. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Los Angeles Branch.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $17.28 – $20/hr.

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday between 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM

Your Role:

• Promote a customer service friendly atmosphere
• Arrange air bookings as requested by customers within the USA and Canada
• Pro-actively track and trace freight movement and keep customers informed
• Work directly with warehouse and drivers to ensure timely movement of air cargo
• Bill out shipments within company guidelines
• Be responsive to other departments request
• Ensure that all work adheres to the company’s policy standards
• Perform any other administrative task as needed
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and other departments

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the US and pass TSA background check
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Able to lift/push/pull at least 35 lbs. – when needed
• Able to get quickly between warehouse and operations many times per hour
• Work in cold storage environment – when needed
• Basic computer skills including e-mail, web browsing, outlook, excel and word.
• Logistics experience is preferred
• Domestic Airfreight background is a plus
